Bakhtiar Seddiqi Nejad in cooperation with Behrooz Barjasteh Delforooz produced a preliminary transcription and a translation into Persian (as sound file).
Agnes Korn elaborated a considerably revised transcription (checked several times against the soundfiles), a morphosyntactic analysis (using Flex software), and the English translation, which likewise reflects Agnes Korn's understanding of the text, its morphosyntax
and textual structure.
The speaker describes himself as being from Parmont, but he mentions having come to Bandar Abbâs to lodge a complaint. It is thus possible that the recording was made in Bandar Abbâs, which could explain some dialect mixture.
Parmont is not to be found on current maps. There is a Parmân on an officially looking map in Gershevitch's material, but at this location there are no houses on recent satellite images. In Gershevitch 1959, there is a map that has Parmônt as a region; this
region includes the coordinates 26.31693° N, 58.08179° E, which are those of a place called Yamasûr on the map, on the location of which there are houses to be seen on the satellite image.
